Ciao, Sic !
I remember the crazy year 2008...
Valentino
Rossi regained his MotoGP World Championship title after 2 years of
losing to an undeserved Nicky Hayden in 2006 and a promising Casey
Stoner in 2007.
On the other hand... a younger,
crazier, taller Italian rider with bigger hair than Vale terrorised the
250cc field, tormenting the likes of Hector Barbera and Alvero Bautista
on the way to winning the 250cc title....
Off the track... the interviews were funny... and he had no chance of putting on any sponsor's cap with that hair.
Turned out this kid, like Vale, was from within 20 miles radius of San Marino... a town called Cattolica....
Marco "Sic" Simoncelli - Super Sic.
Vale's self proclaimed "youngest brother".
I wasn't the only one to think that we were looking at "the new Vale".
Ciao, Sic... grazie mille for all the great entertainment.
May your soul Ride in Peace.
this is how you should be remembered...

Nevermind turns 20
There was a scene in Pearl Jam Twenty that shows Eddie Vedder on stage
at a Pearl Jam concert, apparently on the day after news of Kurt
Cobain's death, saying to the crowd "All of us will probably not be here today, if not for Kurt Cobain".
here we go...
on repeat....

PJ20 - Pearl Jam Twenty
Not
just Eddie Vedder & Co... a journey that started with Andrew Wood
and involved Chris Cornell, Neil Young, Alice In Chains and Kurt
Cobain...
Most of us survived to relive the era last night... Alive, indeed =]
