GATE 2012 Online Application with Details of How to Apply Available

India (DLN): GATE 2012 online registrations have been started.GATE Online Application will be closed on 17th October 2011. Syllabi for GATE 2012 Examination Papers are available here to download.

Candidates have to apply only Online. Before applying, candidates should read the GATE 2012 Information Brochure carefully.

Detailed process to apply online is given here. Candidate should decide Payment Option first. Payment can be made using net banking or through Challan. Payment in cash can be paid at ICICI, Indian Bank or SBI branches.

After make payment, candidates can apply online for GATE 2012. Application Fee for General/OBC is Rs.1000 and for SC / ST / PD Rs.500.

Candidates must follow the instructions provided at the time of applying online.

For applying online, candidates are required to download these pages: Instructions, GATE 2012 Application – GATE Copy, GATE 2012 Application – Candidate’s Copy, Address Slip of respective zonal GATE office and Bank Challan (if fee paid through Challan). Print out of these files should be taken on A4 size white sheets.

For Challan Payment option, bank challan will be printed in triplicate. Candidates can pay fee in any one of the branches of ICICI, Indian Bank or SBI. Bank will keep a copy and will give back 2 copies to the candidate. Candidate’s copy should be retained by applicant and GATE Copy should be attached with the application.

On the GATE 2012 application, candidates are required to paste their recent photograph. Before pasting the photo, please write the name and application number of the applicant on the backside of the photo with black ball point pen. Sign at the designated place of Page-2. Address Slip of respective zonal GATE office should be pasted on top of a 10 inch x 12 inch size laminated envelope.

Duly filled-in GATE Application with all enclosures must be sent by Speed Post or by Registered Post. Applications should be sent to The Chairman, GATE of the Zone corresponding to the 1st Choice of test City. Last date to send applications is 24th October, 2011.
