Review:
Tamil hero Surya, who is having immense fan following in Andhra Pradesh is coming with 7th sense. This is the dubbed version of 7am Arivu which is directed by A R Murugadoss. This pair delivered big blockbuster ‘Ghajini’ earlier!
7th sense is a Sci-fi epic drama film will be another mile stone venture in Suriya’s career as he plays two different characters – Buddhist Monk and a Circus man.
The film depicts the story of a 5th Century Pallava prince-turned-Buddhist monk called Bodhi dharma, who was born in Kanchipuram and travelled to China renouncing his Kingship. The monk is considered the 28th patriarch of Lord Buddha and was responsible for institutionalizing and spreading Zen philosophy in the world. He is also said to be the creator of the martial art Kung Fu and taught it at the Shoalin Temple in China.
In the film, the story of Bodhidharma is related to the present setup with an incident and Shruti Hassan’s scientist character finds the connection between two different eras. It was said that Christopher Nolan’s ‘Inception’, a Hollywood Sci-fi, has inspired A R Murugadoss to create this story. Suriya has again brought his six-pack physique for Seventh sense to show the power of the martial art. He has also put a lot of hard work in learning tough stunt movements to put a spectacular show in the film.

Along with Suriya, the martial art extravagance of an American-Vietnamese actor Johnny Tri Nguyen in the film going to be another feat for the film lovers. He plays the villain of the protagonist in the film. And Shruti Hassan, who is debuting in to kollywood with this movie did scientist role.The film boasts the expense of Rs. 7 Crore for just the intro scene of the film!

Taking a cue from his contemporaries like Mahesh Babu, Nagarjuna and Jr NTR, who have invested heavily in real estate, Allu Arjun too has decided to follow suit. The actor reportedly paid Rs 5 crore for a one-acre plot of land in Tellapur — on the city outskirts which is now emerging as a hot investment destination.
The actor has built a palatial 5,000 sq. ft villa on this land and is looking to buy a few more acres around the place so that he can develop it as a resort — a profitable business venture. The property will also be let out at Rs 1 lakh per day for music performances, story discussions and other activities, says a source close to the actor.
The property will have a spa, swimming pool and a great cuisine for his guests to unwind during the weekends. And of course, if the actor wants to relax on weekends, he will head to this place. Well, this goes to prove that our T-town stars are turning smart businessmen and thinking beyond films.

Mollywood inspires Vijay

While the viewers could not take their eyes off the screen, like an anxious boy waiting for his exam results, the Ilayatalapathy kept his eyes fixed on his audience.
Looking dapper in a simple black shirt and blue jeans, Vijay was in his element during the trailer release of Velayudham at the Dream hotel in Kochi on Saturday.
While his associates showered praises on him, the man in question kept his voice low and humbly thanked the Kerala audience for their support. “Though I have been wanting to do a Malayalam project for a while, none of your superstars have invited me for a project here,” says Vijay.
“Just like the way the Malayali audience welcome Tamil stars, Malayalam movies are also accepted in Tamil Nadu, especially the realistic ones. We also have some theatres there where only Malayalam films run,” he says.
Malayalam filmmakers have always been an inspiration for him. “I’m deeply indebted to some renowned film-makers like Fazil and Siddique who took my career to great heights by offering me movies like Kannukkul Nilavu and Friends.” Vijay craves to prove his versatility as an actor by trying challenging roles. I will be exploring so- me new roles in my upcoming films,” he adds.

Review:
It is an interesting relatable premise grievously marred by extremely loud and uncontrolled performances by actors, aided and abetted by incompetent direction. This could have been an enjoyable romcom about love and marriage.

Story:
The film is about an annoying man Rahul (Jagrat Desai) and his equally annoying wife Pooja (Sasha Goradia). The movie starts when the two board a flight from a small town to Shimla to get back from their honeymoon after a huge fight. They start fighting in the plane due to which the fight gets back to its origin and then the duo is hacked by a man Jai (Vinay Pathak) to drive him to Shimla. Then starts the flashback of how the two married and why are they having a hard time with each other.

Analysis:
The film is definitely not fit in the age of commercial entertainers that are made by today’s film makers. Even a few films made in the 90s were better than this one. Yes it does has its moment of fun in terms of a few dialogues that manage to create giggles. But rest it is plain irritating because of the lead couple keeps whining as if they have no other job. The first half is totally over the top whereas the second half shows some improvement only to disappoint at the end.

Performances:
Vinay Pathak tries his best to give what he has but is let down by a mediocre screenplay. Riya Sen shows much improvement. What is nice is that now she can speak. Sasha Goradia is too loud but shows potential whereas Jagrat Desai who has co-written the story with Deepa Sahi is plain average. In some scenes he manages to act but those scenes are very few.

Technicalities:
Music further adds to the misery of screenplay, as it is intolerable. Cinematography is the saving grace as it beautifully captures the locales of the HP. The dialogues are again boring. Editing, too takes a toll on the movie.

‘It’s a delightful take on a very serious subject. The script is simple yet crazy; the film is adventurous and very funny! It is a film for all those young at heart who are married, un-married, much married or just thinking of marriage’

Though comedy has grown into a lush genre over the years, few directors in India have mastered the art of relaying it on celluloid. “Tere Mere Phere” is an earnest endeavour by actress turned director Deepa Sahi.

“Tere Mere Phere” is not only a romantic comedy, it is a black comedy, slapstick comedy, satire, comedy of manners, screwball comedy — all rolled in one. Deepa’s attempt to weave in every sub-genre of comedy is probably the nemesis of the movie.

The premise of this film is about compatibility in a marriage. The story revolves around two couples – Rahul and Pooja (Jagrat Desai and Sasha Goradia) and Jai and Muskaan (Vinay Pathak and Riya Sen). Their lives get intertwined by fate.

A squabbling Rahul and Pooja are on their way to Shimla by flight. They are on the verge of splitting after three days of honeymooning in a motor home, travelling in Himachal.

But the aborted landing of their aircraft takes them back to their incomplete honeymoon with Jai for company. Jai is desperate to meet his sweetheart Muskaan, who would be forcibly married by her brother to some other bloke.

The narration slips in and out of numerous cantankerous moments of flashbacks to reveal to a lovelorn Jai as to why they (Rahul and Pooja) are bickering all the time. By the end of it, Jai is convinced, by watching Rahul and Pooja, that familiarity breeds contempt.

He decides that marriage is not for him. He makes a decision to desert his waiting Muskaan. Roles reverse with the climax culminating at the hilarious fast forward wedding of Jai and Muskaan.

The scuffle in the aircraft cabin with force fed humour sets the tone of the film for a mediocre fare. The scenes that follow seem substandard and clumsy. With no detailing done, the characters seem to be shallow.

The plot has no major inciting moments and with screechy loud dialogues like – “Tum kya Eskimo thi?”, “Tum kya chipkali ho?” and “You are queen of Main Main”, “No you are king of che chee”. The script along with the dialogues seems to be the weakest point of the film.

The film belongs to the newcomers Jagat Desai and Sasha Goradia. For first timers, they exude confidence. Sushmita Mukherjee as Rahul’s overbearing mother is convincing. Riya Sen with a naturally poker face and sing song expressionless dialogue delivery is a bad choice for a comedy film.

Vinay Patak is wasted as he hardly has anything to do in the film.

On the other hand, the verdant Himalayan terrain is beautifully captured by cinematographer Christo Bakalov. The film has been shot in beautiful and unusual parts of Himachal, especially in the newly opened Kinnaur Valley. The climax of the film has been shot at Hatu Peak and Jhamunda (near Tethys Resort, Narkanda).

The music by Shivangi R. Kashyap is nothing to write home about.

The first half of the film is just tolerable. The second half has its moments of extreme comedy. The end is equally disappointing leaving the viewers wondering as to why you wanted to witness this meaningless marriage.
